Privacy policy

iLoveIMG is built and maintained by Sekora Studios, an independent software studio. Privacy questions can be sent to iloveimg@proton.me.

Most browser-based iLoveIMG editing tools process selected images locally on your device. Background removal and background blur are server-processed AI tools: the selected photo is uploaded securely for processing, and files are automatically removed within 24 hours. Account features are used only where needed for sign-in, billing, or Premium downloads.

ChatGPT MCP image tools

The optional iLoveIMG connection for ChatGPT is a separate server-backed workflow. When you select that connection and attach an image, ChatGPT provides a temporary attachment URL to the MCP server so it can perform the requested transformation. The source attachment is read for that request and is not intentionally kept by iLoveIMG.

The MCP service stores the edited result for up to 24 hours so ChatGPT can display a preview and provide a download link. Anyone who receives the temporary, unguessable result URL may request it until it expires. The MCP host may process ordinary request and security logs, such as timestamps, IP addresses, tool names, durations, and response status.

Image processing

Cropping, adjustments, filters, and ordinary conversions run in the browser on your device. Downloading creates a new local file. Closing or reloading an editing session clears its in-browser working state; these tools do not provide cloud storage for ordinary edits.

Background removal and blur upload the selected JPG, PNG, or WebP photo directly to private storage for processing. Free downloads are resized previews. The original, preview, mask, and generated files are automatically removed within 24 hours; temporary uploads have a shorter expiry. An HD result is rendered only after an eligible Premium account requests it. The blur slider updates the smaller preview on your device. Moving it does not upload another image or repeat the AI processing.

Product analytics

When a Mixpanel project token is configured, iLoveIMG records explicit product events, including which page and editor panel was opened, the type of edit action, upload and export outcomes, selected formats, and downloads. Editor events may include the input format and broad file-size and pixel-size bands, chosen control settings, output format and dimensions, output file size, and processing time. They do not include the selected filename, image file or pixels, text entered into an image, drawing strokes, or where an edit was placed on the image.

Analytics events include the page path and a random session identifier kept in session storage for that browser tab. For acquisition reporting, iLoveIMG records the landing page path, an external referring hostname, and sanitized utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, and utm_content values when present. Other query parameters and full current or referring URLs are excluded. Automatic event capture, automatic page-view capture, and session recording are disabled. Mixpanel's browser and operating-system details, including browser version, may accompany events; full URLs, exact screen dimensions, and device model are blocked.

Mixpanel stores a random, pseudonymous browser identifier in a first-party cookie for up to 365 days so visits from the same browser can be counted together. The session identifier lasts only for the browser tab session. This does not require an account or Google sign-in and does not identify a visitor by name or email. Mixpanel may use the IP address received with an event to infer an approximate city, region, and country; this is network-based location, not GPS, and may be affected by VPNs or proxies. Analytics is not initialized when no Mixpanel token is configured.

When a Microsoft Clarity project ID is configured for the production site, Clarity collects pseudonymous page and interaction data such as clicks, scrolling, pointer movement, and page structure to provide usage reports, heatmaps, and session playback. We do not connect Clarity sessions to account IDs. Clarity is not loaded on sign-in, account, password-reset, or billing pages, or when a page URL has an unrecognized query parameter. Names and email addresses shown in the site interface, image previews, the image editor canvas, batch file rows, displayed file names, and generated download names are masked in the page markup; Clarity also masks form inputs by default. Clarity is not loaded on local development, preview deployments, or staging.

Clarity may use cookies to recognize the same anonymous browser on later visits where its consent settings permit. Microsoft enables Clarity Consent Mode by default for visits from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. Because this site does not send a consent signal, those visits stay in Clarity's cookieless, limited mode; unique-user and return-visit reports for those visits may be incomplete or counted per page view. Analytics tools are used for product measurement, not advertising.

Hosting and request logs

The hosting provider may process standard request information such as IP address, requested URL, browser details, timestamps, and security diagnostics. These normal website requests are separate from the browser-side image-processing flow.
